Bride on beach in Harris

An Island Bride

We were delighted to learn that the Stornoway Gazette has selected this image I took of Mhairi on our wedding day. Its due to appear in their special summer magazine.

It was taken not long after the wedding ceremony on Rosamol beach, Luskentyre. I noticed that the break in the clouds back lit and framed Mhairi. The water breaking over the beach also provided a wonderful reflection. Star of the show of course is Mhairi. She made her shawl out of Harris Tweed and the flowers are wild flowers picked from near our cottage that morning.
