Plane dives towards our house

The benefit of always having a camera to hand is you never know when a plane is about to dive towards your house. Mhairi caught this on camera. It is a C130 Hercules flying extremely low.

This is not an everyday occurrence so we emailed a copy to the local paper, the Courier, who printed it with the headline Low-flying Hercules causes a stir in Perthshire. Leuchars RAF base is not far from here so there is an easy explanation but the main point is  we have a great picture captured and it provided some content for a local newspaper.

The lesson for photographers is to always be ready to shoot. That means knowing your equipment and practicing grabbing it at a moments notice and getting the right shot in focus.
