For inspiration and five minutes well spent you can do yourself a favour and watch this BBC presentation of the Ansel Adams exhibition at the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich in London.
If you have another five minutes let this one on astronomy blow your mind. An excellent combination of brilliant night sky shots and deep space telescope images. The best images from the Astronomy photographer of the year 2012 are on display at the Royal Observatory Greenwich, London, until 5 February 2013. The facts dropped in by the narrator make you realise how far we can look up. “You are looking at a galaxy of billions of stars.”
Makes you want to get outside in the dark and put you camera on bulb setting and let it fill up with star trails.
Thank you BBC – licence fee redeemed.
